Located in the Umm Suqeim neighbourhood, Sunset Beach is a peaceful coastal stretch of turquoise blue waters, north of the Burj Al Arab. Offering unobstructed views of the sun as it rises and sets, with the iconic Dubai skyline in the background, it is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the serenity on your Dubai yacht charter.
Considered one of the emitrate’s best stretches of sand, known locally as Umm Suqeim beach, there is a running track for those who enjoy a morning jog along the beachside or leisurely stroll with panoramas of the Arabian Gulf.
The seaside location is also perfect for surfing and fishing. You’ll probably see a number of kite surfers already on the waves at the aptly-named Kite Beach nearby.
For book lovers, there are a number of handy library kiosks for donating or borrowing books, that are free to use and available to all beach-goers, as well as dedicated areas with beanbags and tables for people to enjoy their favorite read.
Sunset Beach is conveniently close to Jumeirah Beach Hotel for those who fancy a little Dubai luxury for lunch, alternatively, for something a little more casual, there are myriad kiosks serving up delicious snacks and juice bars, including the world-famous Bu Qtair, the seaside shack that has been serving up tasty seafood dishes since the 80s and has become something of an institution.
The beach is renowned for its beautiful sunsets, hence the name. However, once the light fades, you can now also enjoy a nightswim, courtesy of large light installations, or Smart Poles, that turn on after dark and illuminate the warm waters up to 30m out to sea, until midnight.

The closest metro stations are the Equiti and Mall of Emirates stops.
