Founded in 1993, Monaco's Naval Museum is located a stone's throw away from the promenade and offers over 250 marine artifacts from various backgrounds and nations of origin.
Home to artifacts that date back to ancient times all the way through to the present day, the entire collection of the Naval Museum of Monaco includes more than 1,200 scale models as well as hundreds of navy-related objects.
The foremost characteristic of the Naval Museum is that it is an international museum, dedicated to all navies from ancient times to our own era.
Among the most mind-blowing exhibits, you can catch a glimpse of a funerary boat which was found in an Egyptian tomb, various classical Roman and Greek vessels, and liners such as the Titanic and the France.
Also on display for visitors are models of training ships such as the Amerigo Vespucci and the Belem, not to mention multiple warships, from the Jeanne d’Arc to the battleship Missouri, via impressive aircraft carriers like the Nimitz, which is more than five meters long.
The Museum also has a few submarines from a variety of different countries, as well as a minelayer and a Maiale manned torpedo from the Second World War, something that is guaranteed to catch your eye.
