Held in Phuket each year, the Asia Superyacht Rendezvous never fails to be a success, and 2013 was no different.

Sponsored by Feadship and Boat International Media, the Rendezvous received an enthusiastic reception at the show's new home in Kata Rocks, Phuket in Thailand - a multi-award winning, oceanfront sky-villa residence and resort.

Running from 16th to 18th December 2013, the show saw 10 fabulous superyachts anchored in Kata Bay, including motor yachts Maid Marian, Maverick, Big Fish and Sapphire and sailing yachts Argo, Capricorn, Intrigue, Schooner Sunshine, Yanneke Too and Shamoun.

The Rendezvous kicked off with cocktails on 16th December and 'Boat Hop' parties on board some of the participating yachts. The next day, the yachts took part in a race - friendly yet competitive, while the Feadship challenge model boat building and race event took place on the second evening. The famed 'Rendezvous Booty' pirate treasure hunt also took place, much to the delight of everyone.

To round-up the event, an exclusive gala dinner was held at Kata Rocks were mouth-watering cuising was served by the Executive Chef of the resort, Chef Paul Quarchioni. Alongside the gala dinner, the crew party took place at the REKATA Beach club on Kata Beach, with sponsorship from Sevenstar Yacht Transport.

General consensus of the new setting for the Asia Superyacht Rendezvous was extremely positive, with visitors agreeing that the luxury seaside resort was a perfect fit for the event. Designed to take advantage of the natural slope of the land, the resort delivers unintgerrupted views and a nautical feel that was appreciated by all who attended.
