142m Lürssen Superyacht DRAGONFLY Triumphs at 2025 Yacht Style Awards

By Katie Scott   16 April 2025

Making headlines in 2024 as one of the top 10 longest superyachts to emerge from Lürssen facilities, 466.2ft (142m) superyacht DRAGONFLY struck gold at the 2025 Yacht Style Awards, winning the Superyacht Above 80m category.

Returning in spectacular fashion at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, over 300 VIP guests, including yacht owners and industry leaders, attended the Yacht Style Awards, held just ahead of the Singapore Yachting Festival.

Set within the elegant Constellation Ballroom, a total of 33 awards were presented live on stage across three sessions, spotlighting standout achievements in yacht innovation, design, and regional influence. Eligibility was limited to new superyachts and motor yacht charters introduced between January 2024 and March 2025, with superyacht DRAGONFLY obtaining one of the most coveted titles.

First spotted in May 2022 during transportation ahead of her final assembly, this impressive motor yacht showcases the combined creative forces of German Frers, responsible for her sharp exterior lines, and Nauta Yachts, who crafted the sleek, contemporary interiors.

Formerly known as Project ALI BABA, construction on the superyacht began in 2019, and five years later, she surged onto the YB100 list of the world’s biggest yachts—slotting in at an impressive 17th place, right between the 437ft (133.2m) superyacht AL MIRQAB and fellow Lürssen-build 444.1ft (135.6m) motor yacht CRESCENT.

Successfully completing her sea trials in September 2024, the striking superyacht DRAGONFLY is not available for rental in the fleet of Lürssen yachts for charter just yet, but she’s certainly making waves in the yachting world with her extensive array of onboard features and bold military-inspired design.

With a commanding gross tonnage of 9,400, superyacht DRAGONFLY offers expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces designed for optimal comfort and luxury. From her beach club and elevator to dual helipads and a 12-cabin layout accommodating up to 24 overnight guests, she’s primed for unforgettable cruising experiences across iconic destinations such as the Mediterranean or the Caribbean.

Renowned for building some of the world's largest yachts for charter, the fleet of Lürssen yacht rentals regularly hits the headlines throughout the yachting industry, with 446.2ft (136m) superyacht charter FLYING FOX currently holding the title for the largest charter yacht in the world - before the forthcoming launch of 639.5ft (194.9m) expedition yacht rental REV OCEAN in 2027.

Another showstopper from the yard is the 2024 build, 400.3ft (122m) superyacht rental KISMET, who instantly became an icon within the charter market with her jaguar emblem and her title as the longest charter yacht to ever attend the Monaco Yacht Show.

Superyacht DRAGONFLY is not currently available for charter, however if you are looking to secure a yacht rental of a similar caliber, contact your preferred yacht charter broker today for the latest offers and availability.
