Charter yachts gather for the Monaco Grand Prix 2018

As soon as the Cannes Film Festival drew to a close on Saturday, the high-profile superyachts in town for the occasion began migrating eastwards along the coast, making their way towards Monaco in time for the next big date on the South of France event calendar: the Monaco Grand Prix.

Heading down to check out the event, the team at YachtCharterFleet are currently surrounded by countless crew members readying their yachts for the big race, ensuring that all protective carpets are laid down, and all supplies are nicely topped up. 

With further qualifying sessions planned for Friday and Saturday before the main race gets underway at 15.10 on Sunday, the best seats in the house are definitely located aboard the luxury yachts berthed trackside in Zone A of Port Hercules.

Getting a good look at the selection of superyachts berthed in Port Hercules ahead of this year’s race, the team got the rare opportunity to witness all of the work which goes into ensuring that those on board superyachts get the best experience possible.

With their paraselles still down, all of the motor yachts are populated with crew members setting up the exterior spaces for what will be one of the most anticipated events to take place in the Mediterranean all summer.

With the first practice session set to begin at 11AM tomorrow, the yachts will all shortly move slightly back, with guest tendering in to get on board for all the action.

Making all of the necessary preparations ahead of the main event, yacht crews are currently getting all provisions on board for the Monaco Grand Prix 2018

The largest charter yacht currently in Port Hercules for the Grand Prix is the 76m/248ft motor yacht BOADIECA. Featuring an enormous beach club, guests on board can expect to enjoy plenty of space whilst taking in fantastic fews of the activity going on down on the track. Her on board beauty salon will also allow those on board to unwind in style after the excitement of the race. 

Of course, it’s also possible for superyachts to sit at-anchor a short distance away from the port and tender guests into enjoy one of the exclusive balconies with a great view of the circuit.
