Showcasing the same energy and immaculate displays seen at the celebratory 65th edition in 2024, the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) has drawn to a close, with the industry set and ready to start preparations for next year's event.
Starting out in the same way and manner as last year, Mother Nature had her own ideas on how to open the latest edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show; however, the show still picked up an exciting start with the US audience exploring a wide range of dedicated exhibits and inspiring launches across the seven marinas.
Spanning five days from 29 October until 2 November, this year's event welcomed 162 superyachts, with an additional 17 at anchor. With an average length of 35.68m and an average age of 10.86 years, this year's attending fleet at FLIBS was younger than in 2024, though shorter in regards to LOA (Length Overall).
Despite the dip in numbers on both length and attendance, down from 195 at the celebratory milestone edition last year, the showcased fleet of luxury yachts and motor yacht charters was very well received by visitors, with brokers and shipyards also reporting a successful year.
FLIBS remains one of the most significant events in the global yachting calendar. This year, we were proud to showcase an outstanding selection of superyachts and to connect with clients and industry leaders who continue to inspire the future of luxury yachting.
Witnessing the return of many established attractions around the docks, such as the action-packed AquaZone run by Nautical Ventures, FLIBS made full use of all seven marinas with 1,000 curated exhibitors providing a broad range of exclusive products and merchandise, plus an exotic car collection adjacent to the ever-popular Superyacht Village.
Added to the lineup in 2019 as part of the diamond anniversary revamp, the Superyacht Village off Pier 66 is home to the largest yachts at the show, and it continues to prove a fundamental element of the show's offerings, with VIP crowds drawn to the display every year.
