Exclusive: New photos of 72m superyacht SOLO unveiled

By Rebecca Bradbury   4 December 2018

Tankoa Yachts has released even more images of its latest launch, the 72m/236ft charter yacht SOLO, as well as previously unknown information on her technical make-up, interior and facilities.

One of the most exciting superyacht launches of 2018, SOLO first hit the water in August before making an appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show in September and being delivered a month later. Yet with no photos available, she remained something of an enigma.

This was until a few weeks ago when Tankoa Yachts released the first round of images. And now the Italian shipyard has shared the entire photoshoot, showcasing what a fine addition the yacht is to the charter fleet. And to back up the visuals, the yard has also divulged details on her many highlights.

Among her top technical attributes are a number of award-winning eco-friendly features. Her engines are equipped with Eco Spray SCR, which significantly reduces emissions, and a CO2 monitoring system allows the captain to find the ideal speed for reducing emissions.

Similarly impressive are her outdoor living areas, such as the aft deck with its six-metre pool and pop-up TV screen and the spacious beach club below. As well as boasting a bar and seating area, this ocean-side hangout is directly linked to a glass-walled gym and a spa zone with a fold-down terrace.

Other amenities offering a wellbeing focus include a hair-dressing and massage room on the upper deck and this is joined by a salon aft with a 90-inch TV screen, a piano and a bio-ethanol fireplace.

The owner’s deck on board luxury yacht SOLO, meanwhile, stands out for its media room, panoramic views through full-height windows, two intimate outdoor terraces and touch-and-go helipad, offering the ultimate way for the principal charterer to arrive on a luxury yacht charter

Details on the interior styling have also been published. FPD Studio in cooperation with Margherita Casprini worked to fulfil the owner’s wish for a modern, minimalist and warm look and an array of satin-finished natural materials have been brought together to fulfil the brief.

YachtCharterFleet was lucky enough to undertake an exclusive tour in Monaco and an in-depth review will soon be published to take readers through the entire motor yacht in much more detail.
