Iconic 136M Superyacht FLYING FOX Emerges From Five-Month Refit Under New Name HADAR

By Katie Scott   10 March 2026

Causing a stir as she emerged from the Lürssen facilities in Hamburg on 9 March, 446.2ft (136m) superyacht HADAR made a striking first impression following her five-month refit with a brand new look.

Transforming from her vibrant exterior color palette to a smart and streamlined vision of white, the updated aesthetics mark the start of a new era for the iconic superyacht, who has long been known as one of the world's largest yachts for charter.

Currently on route to the UK, before heading onwards for her inaugural voyage under her new nameplate, details surrounding HADAR's refit are currently under wraps, but if her new paintwork is anything to go by, the remaining updates are certain to be just as opulent.

Recently hitting the headlines in June 2025, FLYING FOX changed ownership in a secretive off-market deal before heading in for a refit in September.

Listed as 'blocked property' in June 2022 due to connections with Imperial Yachts, the jaw-dropping motor yacht charter has been in the spotlight many times since her launch in 2019, and now, with a change of ownership, look, and nameplate, she is set for a fresh start as HADAR.

HADAR is spacious and packed with things to do, making her fully primed for those seeking a luxury voyage at sea.

Holding two awards for Best Displacement Motor Yacht of 2,000GT and above from the 2020 World Superyacht Awards, and Best Charter Yacht for the Robb Report Best of the Best in the same year, HADAR has been a trendsetter for the world's most expensive yachts for charter, with her extensive collection of premium onboard amenities and effortless style that has attracted many famous guests including the likes of Beyonce.

Ranking at number 19 in the YachtBuyer YB100 listing of the world's biggest yachts by gross tonnage, HADAR has been the largest Lürssen yacht for charter since launch, and has also comfortably sat as the biggest yacht rental in the world; with the top of the table soon to change when 639.5ft (194.9m) expedition charter yacht REV OCEAN completes her anticiapted delivery in 2027.
