Luxury Phinisi ‘Mutiara Laut’ Open for Charter in Indonesia

By Rebecca Bradbury   2 November 2016

The 46m/150ft sailing yacht ‘Mutiara Laut’ delivered by boat builder Leendert Philippus Van Oostenbrugge is available to charter throughout the exotic island-chain of Indonesia in South East Asia.

Launched in 2010, Mutiara Laut takes inspiration from an 18th century North Atlantic schooner, yet her rich interior radiates Indonesian character and charm, and she promises an authentic luxury yacht charter throughout the stunning cruising grounds of Indonesia.

Meaning ‘Pearl of the Sea’, her unique fusion of Asian and European influences is sure to captivate, and her streamlined hull and 850-square-metres of sails make for an exceptional sailing performance while discovering fascinating locations such as Komodo and Flores.

Among the yacht’s highlights is a generous 60-metre-square foredeck, perfectly appointed for your enjoyment. Soak up the sun on an oversized day bed, enjoy a casual get-together in one of the seating areas or dine alfresco with a larger group of 14 under the shade of a Bimini.

The options for entertaining and socialising continue into the interior of charter yacht Mutiara Laut thanks to a spacious main salon, equipped with a large, formal dining table to starboard and an elegant lounge to port.

Whitewashed floorboards combine with rich, wooden wall panels and pale upholstery to create a light, airy and welcoming atmosphere, added to which are local textiles, crafts and ornaments for a true taste of the 17,000 island-strong archipelago.

After a busy day exploring the region, guests will be able to retreat to one of six beautifully styled double staterooms, boasting intricate Balinese carvings and delicately crafted tiles in the spacious, en suite bathrooms.

A dedicated Balinese masseuse on board ensures guests can truly relax, and return home refreshed and rejuvenated. Plus, a fully-certified PADI dive instructor also forms part of the crew, offering beginner and pro divers alike the chance to explore the fascinating underwater life.

More than 3,000 different species of fish are found in world-class dive sites across the island-chain, with the Raja Ampat Islands home to 75 percent of all known coral species and a haven for scuba divers and snorkellers.
