The 27m/88.6ft catamaran ‘Rua Moana’ was launched earlier this week by Pachoud Yachts and is available for New Zealand yacht charters.
Over 4,800 square feet of floor and deck space and a full planing hull design that provides an incredibly smooth ride make Rua Moana a great choice to explore the natural beauty of the stunning New Zealand coastline.
On-board highlights include an expansive upper deck, which provides a wonderful platform to take in some of the spectacular natural panoramas you will see, a spacious foredeck with a large Jacuzzi and sunbathing area and a cinema room.
At the stern is a vast swim platform that can be set up as a beach club, where guests can choose from a selection of water toys and equipment and further explore the crystal clear waters and secluded coves on offer in New Zealand.
Four contemporary cabins provide accommodation for eight. Each cabin has a King size bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is also space for crew accommodation for five.
With so much space over three decks Rua Moana is ideal for families and offers the choice to be social and whilst at the same time also giving space for privacy. It is also suited to corporate charters or events, being able to take on board 50 guests while cruising.

The Kit Carlier Design interior is streamlined and clutter free, with a light and natural feeling. The sense of peace and wellbeing is further enhanced by deep 100% wool New Zealand carpets that soften and minimise sounds. The fluid and elegant exterior design comes from Pachoud Yachts themselves.
The catamaran has also been designed with a strong focus on her environmental impact, she can cruise at 18 to 20 knots using only a fraction of the horsepower of boats of a similar volume with minimal noise and emissions.
A shallow draft of 1.5m means Rua Moana is ideal for getting close to the numerous magical coves, sandy beaches, fjords and plunging waterfalls that New Zealand is famous for.
Ready for charter out of Auckland, it is just a short journey to the pristine sandy beaches of the Hauraki Gulf and the rustic and unspoiled, rainforest cloaked headland of the Coromandel.
Head further south and a host of beaches, lakes and verdants headlands will be unfurled before you reach the even more dramatic scenery of the South Island. Here you can explore the majestic beauty of Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound, the secluded bays in and around Marlborough or visit the adrenaline capital of the world Queenstown for a whole host of high octane activities.
