Following a full-scale refit and 4m extension by Royal Huisman, Feadship’s 52m (171ft) motor yacht BROADWATER is now a luxury yacht for charter, and is available to book now for this winter in the Bahamas.
In a labour of love which has lasted over a year, Royal Huisman’s refit division Huisift has completed an extensive refit on superyacht BROADWATER. She is now taking bookings for yacht charters in the Mediterranean in 2021 and is available in the Bahamas and Caribbean in the coming weeks.
The motor yacht has been transformed into a ‘modern and liveable home away from home’ according to a specific brief set out by her experienced Owner, who purchased BROADWATER at the tail end of 2018.
She emerged from the yard’s facilities in Amsterdam earlier this week, sporting a new hull color, a fully restyled stern and impressive interior upgrades that encompass both the guest and crew accommodation.

The refit has been helmed by Adam Voorhees, the designer responsible for previous yachts of the same name. He was selected to bring forward the Owner’s vision, which placed heavy focus on the yacht’s use as a charter vessel.
The extension is the most ambitious element of the project, and has been completed to expand the amount of space available to guests on the aft deck and in the beach club.
The sundeck has also benefitted from the refit, and the space has been completely overhauled with a new composite mast, a hardtop, alongside a large dip pool, bar area and dayhead.
On the interior, the yacht has been restyled with a much more contemporary look and feel. Materials such as open grain black walnut, patinated bronze and textured Portoro marble are evident throughout, alongside soft fabrics including cashmere, silk and linen.
Another nice touch is in the Owner’s cabin, where the layout has been reworked to accommodate his and hers bathrooms divided by a glass shower.
She was sold to her current Owner in 2018, and she follows in the footsteps of other successful charter yachts of the same name.
The award-winning yacht was originally launched as Halycon Days in 1994, with design by Frits de Voogt and interiors created by John Munford. She was sold to her current Owner in 2018, and she follows in the footsteps of other successful charter yachts of the same name.
The refit has breathed fresh life into this superyacht; the extension has given her a more modern and in-proportion profile and the fresh paintwork gives her a sleek look. She’s sure to be a popular yacht whether she’s cruising the coasts of Capri or hopping between ports on the French Riviera.
