Palma Superyacht Show 2018 draws to a close

What’s more, the diverse selection of yachts made it easy for visitors to define their yachting preferences, while the latest technological advances and refit and repair services could be discovered in a dedicated exhibition zone, back for the second consecutive year in a row.

One of the show’s trademark characteristics is its 50/50 ratio between motor and sailing yachts. Those in the latter category included the 32m/106ft charter yacht EMMALINE from Holland Jachtbouw, Perini Navi’s 31m/101ft charter yacht XNOI and the 30m/99ft Southern Wind charter yacht ZEFIRO.

Among the motor yachts on display, meanwhile, were the 41m/135ft charter yacht TATII from Tamsen Yachts, the 38m/125ft Sanlorenzo charter yacht Y4H and Baltic Yachts’ 24m/79ft charter yacht ‘Bill and Me’.

Alongside the line-up of yachts were 85 international exhibitors, ranging from world-class brokerage houses to service and equipment companies in the yachting industry. It was the highest amount the show had ever hosted and the exhibiting area was brimming with visitors.

Boat builders specialising in the production of sailing yachts, such as Nautor's Swan, Southern Wind and Baltic Yachts, were among the attending companies, and water toy demos could also be seen taking place.

Held in Palma, the event also showcased what Mallorca’s capital has to offer. A vibrant and cosmopolitan city, it has a thriving old town and a wide range of cultural, gastronomic and sporting activities, and makes the perfect yacht charter destination.
