The multi-award winning 82m/269ft luxury yacht ‘Alfa Nero’ is boasting a new film coating on her transom steps and exhaust areas thanks to specialist yacht finishers Wild Group.
Areas around the exhaust of Alfa Nero were covered with a clear film layer by the Wild Group to protect the yacht's paintwork. Coloured to match the original paintwork, the film can be replaced every year to ensure the yacht’s finish continues to look as good as new.
Soot from the exhaust can strip the outer layer of high-gloss paint, leaving the paintwork susceptible to collecting dirt, cracking and damage. This leads to an expensive and inconvenient respray, which can be avoided by utilising the polyurethane paint protection film.
The transom, meanwhile, was wrapped using a Färben oyster white colour-matched film. This again prevents the need for an extensive and costly respray. Instead the process is clean, quick and non-intrusive.
Launched by Oceanco in 2007 to universal acclaim, superyacht Alfa Nero is one of the most impressive and innovative yachts on the charter market. She features a stunning interior from sought-after designers Alberto Pinto, and unrivalled deck and entertainment spaces.
Highlights include a pool with a waterfall feature, which transforms into a helipad or dancefloor, a luxurious private owner’s deck, six individually-themed staterooms and a bridge deck gym.
Wild Group’s work on the motor yacht was carried out in La Ciotat on the French Riviera and ensures she is in optimal condition for her 2016 charter season.
