Superyacht RUYA opens for Caribbean charters over the holidays

By Rebecca Bradbury   28 November 2018

The 41m/136ft luxury yacht RUYA from Alia Yachts is available for charter this winter in the Caribbean and has space in her calendar over the Christmas period.

Combining spacious outdoor areas, functional design and contemporary interior styling, RUYA is perfect for charterers looking to spend time relaxing with all the family over the festive break.

Launched by Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts in 2015, she picked up a World Superyacht Award as well as two Showboat Design Awards in 2016 and has since become a highly sought-after charter option. Part of her appeal is down to her volume which is unusually large for a yacht of 40 metres.

Sure to be the daytime hub of any yacht charter is the inviting 93-metre-square sundeck. Here guests can unwind in the 10-person spa pool, dry off on the surrounding sun pads, sip cocktails at the bar and enjoy a casual lunch under the radar arch, all while taking in gorgeous views of the region.

Another popular outdoor hangout is the spacious beach club. The glittering Caribbean waters are just inches away and the exciting water toy collection can be easily accessed. Charterers of all ages will love trying out the Sea-Doos, SeaBobs, wakeboards, stand-up paddle boards and water skis.

A delicious Christmas dinner, meanwhile, can be served on the upper deck aft. Guests can put their feet up as the talented resident chef gets to work in the galley and a five-star crew cater to every single need. Post-dinner drinks can then follow in the chic aft deck lounging area below.

Australian designer Sam Sorgiovanni has worked his magic throughout the interior of luxury yacht RUYA. Bamboo, ebony, Tasmanian oak, woven leather and rainforest marble are brought together for a resort-like feel that exudes casual sophistication, enhanced further by expansive glazing.

In the main salon, deep, sumptuous sofas tempt guests to take a seat and, further forward, a table offers a formal place to dine. More laidback in feel is the cosy media salon above which, with an 85-inch Samsung screen, is designed for watching movies with all the family while on a charter vacation.

However guests choose to celebrate Christmas on board, at the end of the day, they can retreat into one of five cabins, including a master suite with a study area on the main deck and two double cabins and two twin cabins on the lower deck. Up to 10 guests can sleep on board the motor yacht in total.
