The 5 must-see charter yachts at the 2019 Palm Beach Boat Show

By Katia Damborsky   7 March 2019

Getting underway on 28 March, the Palm Beach Boat Show will bring another excellent fleet of yachts to West Palm Beach, and many of them are available for private yacht charter vacations.

As ever, the Palm Beach Boat Show will play host to a large variety of boats, ranging from sportfishers and pleasure cruisers to shiny superyachts sparkling under the Florida sun.

Part of this year’s line-up includes a superb selection of charter yachts; so if you are attending the show and are considering renting a private yacht for your next vacation, then be sure to check out these must-see superyachts.

CHASSEUR

A firm favourite of the international charter market, the multi-award winning 49m/160ft motor yacht CHASSEUR was launched by Christensen in 2016. Show-goers who have the chance to step on board will be impressed by her cool and contemporary interiors, which are enhanced by a central staircase composed of glass, solid Santos wood in the main salon and a backlit onyx bar in the skylounge.

A dedication to outdoor living sets CHASSEUR apart from the rest. She boasts two exterior dining arrangements and a sweeping sundeck complete with a large pool bordered by sun pads, a wet bar and inviting seating area. In total, she accommodates 12 guests across six cabins, which volunteer a flexible configuration to cater to a variety of different arrangements.

'My Seanna'

Fans of hit Bravo TV show Below Deck may recognise the 56m/195ft superyacht ‘My Seanna’ as the leading lady of season six. Attendees of the Palm Beach Boat Show should snap up the opportunity to tour the motor yacht, and follow in the footsteps of Captain Lee Rosbach, chief stewardess Kate Chastain and the rest of the season’s entertaining crew.

Since being delivered by Delta Marine in 2001, the yacht has undergone a refit which has left her with opulent interiors brushed in 22-carat gold, a touch and go helipad and wellness facilities including a sauna and spa area. Interestingly, she is not the only Below Deck superyacht star on the Palm Beach Boat Show line-up; read our article to discover the entire selection.

'Excellence V'

Currently the largest yacht set to attend the show is Abeking and Rasmussen’s 2012 build, the 60m/197ft motor yacht ‘Excellence V’. She is sure to turn plenty of heads with her midnight-blue hull, which comes courtesy of the renowned Reymond Langton Design. The studio is also responsible for the interiors of the motor yacht, which sport a classic Venetian-style opulence balanced by warm and comfortable touches.

The superyacht is awash with luxury amenities; she offers two large jacuzzis, an elevator serving all five floors and a waterfront gym, allowing charter guests to complete their fitness regimes just inches away from the water. Offering accommodation for 12 guests across seven cabins, the entire charter party can relax in complete comfort and enjoy movie nights at sea thanks to a sumptuous home cinema.

BROADWATER

Balancing quality Feadship craftsmanship with interiors and exteriors from the prestigious Donald Starkey, the 50m/165ft motor yacht BROADWATER is an excellent addition to the Palm Beach fleet. Her wealth of water toys will ensure a family yacht charter vacation filled with fun, while her alluring selection of entertainment areas are primed for parties with friends.

Exuding a relaxed on-board ambience, the motor yacht’s communal areas are a refreshing mix of charcoal and cream, offset by discreet lighting.  Stand-out features include a sinuous central staircase inspired by the Japanese art of omikuji and a wine cooler with the capacity to store up to 275 bottles at a time.

ELIXIR

One of the largest yachts on the show’s line-up is the 55m/180ft luxury yacht ELIXIR. An Amels-built superyacht, she sleeps 12 guests across five cabins and offers a master suite with a private lounge and study, while her guest cabins feature fold-out balconies to create a feeling of being at one with the ocean.

Those able to tour the yacht will have the chance to see her enviable interiors, which embody a romantic, European-style theme. Her skylounge hosts a cinema set-up and grand piano, while her main deck is home to a sauna, gym equipment and chic beach club.

The Palm Beach Boat Show takes place between 28 and 31 March. If you would like to have more information about chartering any of the superyachts appearing at the 2019 Palm Beach Boat Show, please get in touch with your preferred charter broker.
