Situated between Gam Island and Waigeo Island, The Passage is surrounded by a wealth of stunning natural beauty that makes it a popular dive site while cruising round the different islands on your Raja Ampat charter.
Thanks to Raja Ampat’s tropical climate, this dive site has invitingly warm waters of approximately 84F (29C). The Passage’s main attraction, however, is its incredible biodiversity: those who take the plunge will be able to marvel at sea creatures such as turtles, manta rays, pygmy seahorses, octopuses, and much, much more.
In addition to its array of sealife, this waterway offers divers grottoes, caves, arches, and underwater passages for a truly exciting day of exploration. Its shoreline is also covered by beautiful blue mangroves and rainforest. With so much to see, you can’t pass up the opportunity to try out your motor yacht’s selection of diving and snorkeling equipment.
Something to note, however, is that while the main section’s waters are only 5m deep, its currents can be fairly strong. If you or any of your charter guests are not confident divers comfortable with drift diving, then we recommend taking out the kayaks or paddle boards from your luxury yacht charter's toy garage to explore The Passage’s marine life for an equally enriching experience.
If you would like to incorporate a visit to The Passage’s distinctive micro habitat into your Indonesia yacht charter itinerary, then be sure to speak to your preferred charter broker.
