Stepping on board the exceedingly modern 48m/157ft motor yacht COCKTAILS at Palm Beach Boat Show 2016, the team at YachtCharterFleet learned more about the unique vacations she offers to her guests.
A meticulous and collaborative project, the most recent refit of superyacht COCKTAILS was carried in out in 2012 by the Howard Design Group and closely overseen by her Owner. An established residential interior design firm, they’ve brought a considerably relaxed ambience to their first superyacht project, which can be felt immediately upon entering the main salon.
The most obvious difference about the motor yacht following her refit is the absence of the panelling that once separated the main salon from the formal dining area. Preferring a more open-plan arrangement, the new layout ultimately allows for more natural light to spill in and amplify the space on offer.
Describing her new look as a ‘drastic design change’, the crew member showing us around was keen to point out the implications of the changes made to COCKTAILS and how the brighter colour scheme makes her a more calming charter choice than before.
the generously proportioned communal space is perfect for both relaxing and entertaining.

The traquility she offers isn’t difficult to imagine when you consider how the seating and wet bar afford a significant flexibility to the central living area. Similar to a luxury New York loft apartment, the neutral furnishings help to amplify the space whilst offering plenty of comfort.
A 60-inch flat-screen TV, which extends from behind one of the couches, is also ideally positioned for movie nights.
Perfectly complementing the lounging and entertainment options found in the main salon, the skylounge situated on the upper deck provides further sofa seating, a games table and a sit down bar on the port side. Impressively accented by high gloss flooring and a splash of colourful artwork, the space lends itself to both daytime and evening relaxation.
Surrounded by extended windows the communal space benefits from plenty of natural light in much the same way as the main salon and there’s no doubt that it would make a fantastic observation point in her tropical cruising grounds.
Typically used by the principal charter guest, the full-beam master cabin of luxury yacht COCKTAILS spans across the forward section of the main deck and affords incredible comfort in a consistently modern environment.
Before entering the sleeping area, guests will make their way through a broad passageway, hosting a sofa and desk. This naturally provides another spot to relax in as well as the perfect setup for conducting any necessary business.
Accessed via two separate entrances, the suite's vast bath and shower facilities have an optional partition between them to allow for a more private ‘his and hers’ layout should this be desired.
Reminiscent of a Manhattan penthouse, the master cabin of superyacht COCKTAILS provides ample comfort in style
Anticipating every need of the guest(s) occupying this stateroom, a sub-zero refrigerator makes refreshments readily available, meaning there is no need to leave the cabin during the evening.
This feature has been artfully integrated into the additional four cabins found on board COCKTAILS, along with discreetly placed television screens to keep everyone entertained.
Another remarkable point about the accommodation situated on the lower deck is its flexibility. With the option to transform the two twin cabins into doubles and with an additional pullman on offer, there’s an arrangement that meets the needs of every kind of party configuration.
The exterior of COCKTAILS is just as exciting as her interior, with plenty of options on hand when it comes to enjoying the warm climate of her charter grounds. Surrounded by oversized sunpads, the sizeable Jacuzzi situated at the fore of the sundeck is one of the defining features.
The perfect spot to enjoy a few drinks whilst soaking up the sun, the Jacuzzi is in close proximity to sunloungers and partially shaded seating to provide a range of ways of drying off.
Whilst Jacuzzis are often placed at the bow, Trinity Yachts, who styled the exterior of COCKTAILS in-house, opted for a furnished Portuguese bridge to allow everyone to get the most out of their surroundings both when underway and at-anchor.
Elsewhere on the exterior a number of casual lounging areas open up countless possibilities for informal dining whilst the spacious table on the upper deck aft is capable of seating all 12 guests for a meal in the sun.
When it comes to getting out on the water, a 35ft intrepid tender can be chartered alongside COCKTAILS at an extra cost, and utilised for a spot of sports fishing or simply to access the more remote bays and inlets which are inaccessible to the yacht.
For those more inclined towards marine life, a whole host of snorkelling gear is on offer to make sure everyone can get under the water to enjoy themselves.
Ultimately, just as her names suggests, COCKTAILS is all about relaxing and having fun on the water. Encompassing every charter guest’s definition of fun, there are options aplenty, which are sure to satisfy the desires of all on board.
