The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be the largest sporting event Australia sees this decade when it gets underway on the Gold Coast, Queensland, this April.
Commonly known as Gold Coast 2018, the XXI Commonwealth Games will be an 11-day sporting spectacular, bringing together more than 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 nations and territories in one of the most captivating cities in Australia.
Throughout the games, which runs from 4th to 15th April, 18 sports and seven para-sports will be contested, including athletics, gymnastics, hockey, cycling, rugby sevens, boxing, beach volleyball and para lifting.
The event will be broadcast to a cumulative global audience of 1.5 billion, while those attending in person will enjoy electrifying experiences at sporting venues across the Gold Coast, as well as in Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville.
