Tortola, British Virgin Islands
7 - 10 Nov 2017
Presented by the Charter Yacht Society (CYS) of the BVI, the annual charter show will return to the beautiful Caribbean setting of Tortola in 2017 for its 36th edition.
Taking place in early November, the CYS BVI Charter Show will see a fleet of around 30 charter yachts based in the British Virgin Islands for the upcoming season descend on Nanny Cay Resort & Marina in Tortola for four days of viewings, broker lunches and evening yacht hops.
Signalling the start of the Caribbean season, the show celebrates everything the charter industry in the region has to offer, with more than 100 charter brokers and other industry professionals flying in from across the globe to join in the proceedings.
Other features include a themed culinary contest, where chefs on attending yachts are required to impress the judges with a three-course meal. Winners will be revealed in a prize-giving ceremony at the end of the event.
This year's edition will take place in the wake of Hurricane Irma, but organisers are keen to show the island-chain's renewed strength. The opening event will celebrate the industry's 'comeback' while on 11th November, the day after the show closes, an initiative will take volunteers to help with the clean up on neighbouring island Jost Van Dyke.
Yachts in attendance are typically smaller in size but for more information on any of those signed up, speak to your preferred charter broker. Or, compare all luxury yachts available for charter in the British Virgin Islands.
