Circuit de Barcelona, Catalunya
11 May 2014
Taking place just outside Barcelona, the Spanish Grand Prix is one of the most vibrant and lively events on the F1 calendar.
The Formula 1 race in Spain takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona, Catalunya. A fantastic race track with fabulous views, you can see around a third of the track from anywhere you sit. As it is a winter test track, the F1 drivers know the circuit well which makes for some great racing.
The Circuit de Catalunya has hosted the Grand Prix here since 1991, when it was opened just days after it was completed. The venue was also the finish for a cycling event in the 1992 Olympics which took place in the city. This year, the Spanish Grand Prix will be sponsored by Italian company Pirelli and named 'Formula 1 Gran Premio de Espana Pirelli'.
Barcelona is a beautiful city to visit and, as the home to the Spanish Grand Prix, what better time to visit it than in May 2014. Talk to your yacht charter broker for more information about booking an event charter for the Grand Prix.
