Gustavia, St Barths
21 - 24 Mar 2019
Bringing top-notch racing and exclusive shore-side social events to Gustavia’s harbour, the St Barths Bucket Regatta will return from 21 to 24 March.
Now in its 32nd edition, the four-day regatta is one of the Caribbean’s most hotly-anticipated sailing meets and will once again attract some of the world’s best sailors and sailing yachts to the idyllic waters of St Barths.
Throughout its three-decade-long tenure, the bucket has managed to retain its original camaraderie and non-commercial spirit and is still hosted purely for the pleasure and enjoyment of the sailing superyacht owner.
Yet, three days of thrilling and competitive racing can still be expected. Last year saw sailing yacht NILAYA storm to victory, notching three wins in her class to take the overall title. The sailing yacht will be back at the upcoming edition, aiming to replicate her winning ways.
This year's regatta will also see the introduction of a ‘Corinthian Spirit’ - or Les Voiles Blanche - class, for owners and crews seeking out more laid-back racing.
There will also be an exciting social programme, including yacht hops, daily award ceremonies, a Saturday ‘Bucket Bash' and final awards ceremony party, which is traditionally held at the five-star Eden Rock hotel.
