Amels launches 74m Limited Editions 242 superyacht

The sixth hull in the Amels Limited Editions 242 series, the 74m (243') Amels Project 7406 hit the water for the first time today.

Still known as Project 7406, the new installment of the Amels Limited Edition 242 series was launched today at Amels and Damen's hull-building facilities in Romania.

She is now ready for outfitting, and is on course for delivery in autumn 2021. 

The 1,790 GT superyacht sports exterior design from Tim Heywood, and has a range of stand-out features including a 6.5m infinity pool and Owner's deck which spans 240 square metres.

The motor yacht is also equipped with a full-beam wellness centre and fold-out swim platform for easy access to the water. 

Up to 12 guests can be accommodated across six suites which includes the enormous Owner's suite, two main-deck VIP suites and three lower-deck suites.

Amels is on track for a busy year, with charter yacht GALENE and superyacht STARDUST (Project 206) also launched recently. 

Managing Director of Damen and Amels, Rose Damen, has said that the shipyards will remain operational during the Coronavirus outbreak. She has said the yard is putting extra measures in place to ensure the safety of employees and clients.

It is not yet known whether Project 7406 will become available for private yacht charters.
