Best yachts to see at FLIBS 2022 Superyacht Village

By Nina Done   28 October 2022

The Superyacht Village at Pier 66 Hotel & Marina is the place to check out some of the biggest yachts at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) 2022, which is easily accessed via water taxi.

Located adjacent to the 17th Street Causeway Bridge on the Stranahan River, the elegant waterfront location has the capacity to host superyachts of up to 400ft (121m), as well as dedicated on-land exhibition space for some of the biggest names in the industry, covering a total of 3.5 acres.

How do I get to the Superyacht Village at FLIBS 2022?

To get to the Superyacht Village at FLIBS 2022, you can take a water taxi from the main show at Bahia Mar. Take the yellow water taxi to the third stop at Pier 66, which is where the Superyacht Village is located. The journey across the intracoastal waterway will take approximately 10 minutes.

A large selection of yachts are expected to be on display at the Superyacht Village and its immediate vicinity. We've compiled a round-up of some of the must-see yachts in the Superyacht Village at FLIBS 2022.

238ft (73m) superyacht CORAL OCEAN

Builder: Lürssen

As the largest yacht marking her debut at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, motor yacht CORAL OCEAN is one not to miss. One of Lürssen's original leading ladies, she boasts a sleek white exterior – courtesy of British design studio Bannenberg & Rowell in collaboration with the esteemed yacht builder – and features a wealth of amenities.

2022 has seen her undergo a transformative refit, and visitors to the show will be able to witness her impressive new features in person, including an entirely rebuilt sundeck that now plays host to a glass-bottomed spa pool, state-of-the-art sound system, in-built electric skylight and retractable 85-inch TV.

The superyacht's interior styling now showcases a neutral scheme with subtle ocean-inspired accents and geometric motifs throughout, with a raft of luxury amenities from her spa and gymnasium to a convertible movie theater.

164ft (50m) yacht OCEAN Z

Builder: Heesen

Alongside CORAL OCEAN is the brand new Heesen yacht OCEAN Z, currently wowing onlookers with her sports car-inspired flowing exterior lines and luxurious Reymond Langton interiors.

Launched in 2022, lucky visitors will get the chance to see her vast array of amenities up-close, including her generous beach club, light-filled salon and convivial top deck featuring an elevated Jacuzzi overlooking show-goers milling past in the Superyacht Village.

164ft (50m) yacht MAVERICK

Builder: Overmarine

Berthed right behind OCEAN Z is Overmarine’s latest offering, the 164ft (50m) Mangusta Ocean 50 yacht MAVERICK. Originally christened Project Verona, she’s already turning heads at the show thanks to her sleek hull and rakish good looks, and is sure to attract attention on the dock.

Delivered in 2022, Italian designer Alberto Mancini teamed up with the shipyard's technical and interiors departments to oversee the design brief “to embody the feel of a Miami villa” for its Florida-based owner. The overall effect is striking and has all the features you would expect on a superyacht of this caliber, including a luxurious beach club connected by 3 sea terraces, large infinity pool and expansive master stateroom with a private balcony.

181ft (55m) support vessel AXIS

Builder: Damen Yachting

Show-goers will also spot the impressive 181ft (55m) Damen support yacht AXIS (ex-Fast & Furious), which is usually found berthed in the marina on Walker’s Cay in the Bahamas, alongside the 164ft superyacht GIGI as part of a flotilla of vessels for the American entrepreneur and keen diver Carl Allen.

On display at the Superyacht Village opposite MAVERICK, yacht AXIS will be showing off her slew of standout amenities including a certified helideck, Triton 3300 submarine and state-of-the-art dive center, aptly demonstrating the many advantages of a yacht support vessel. She also comes equipped with an array of cabins for staff, as well as a number of tenders and water toys.

134ft (41m) motor yacht SEASCAPE

Builder: Benetti

A picture of elegance and grace, the brand new 134ft (41m) Benetti superyacht SEASCAPE is berthed opposite the Superyacht Village bar and restaurant, offering patrons waterside views of her cascading aft deck feature, culminating in the luxury pool and sea terrace that is synonymous with Benetti’s hugely successful Oasis 40M series.

This will be the world debut for luxury yacht SEASCAPE, and she is sure to attract plenty of attention in Fort Lauderdale. Launched only this summer, she has made the transatlantic passage to the USA and is now berthed at the Superyacht Village ready for visitors.

Those lucky enough to step aboard at the show can expect refined and contemporary interiors, a lavish owner's suite and trove of entertainment and relaxation areas.

180ft (55m) luxury yacht LADY JJ

Builder: Heesen

On the other side of the 17th Street Causeway and Bridge, motor yacht LADY JJ is on display in all her glory.

She joined the charter fleet late last year and has already proven a big hit. From the dock, attendees will be able to admire her curvaceous exterior and vast beach club. Stepping on board, her beautiful Frank Laupman-interiors are bound to impress show-goers, featuring polished maple and touches of luxurious gold onyx and a variety of rich marbles.

On board highlights include a dedicated spa and gymnasium, mosaic-tiled Jacuzzi and spacious, circular master stateroom featuring side balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows and a private study.
