A variety of impressive charter yachts have registered to take part in the 2015 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta, taking place from 11 to 14 March.
Offering 3 days of racing for sailing yachts in the excellent conditions provided by the British Virgin Islands, the event is now in its 5th year. The event is organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda’s international race committee and takes place at YCSS’s state-of-the-art facilities in Virgin Gorda.
The exact racing course will be dependent on divisions, with classes sometimes decided by the variation within the fleet. So far registered charter yachts include Perini Navi builds such as 59m S/Y SEAHAWK, 54m S/Y ‘Parsifal III’ and 38m S/Y P2, as well as Vitters superyachts 55m S/Y MARIE and recent addition to the charter fleet, 46m S/Y GANESHA.
An exciting programme of shoreside social events takes place throughout the event, with highlights including a Welcome Cocktail Part at the YCCS lawn, a fun-filled evening at Oil Nut Bay Beach Club and visits around the most picturesque hotspots found throughout the islands.
Motor yachts such as 44m Oceanco yacht ‘Deep Blue II’ and 40m Trident superyacht M4 are also expected to attend to enjoy first-hand spectacle of the event, with a variety of activities on offer.
