The second edition of the Qatar International Boat Show opened its doors yesterday in Mourjan Marinas in Lusail City and sees double the number of exhibitors compared to last year.
Following the success of the inaugural Qatar event last year, QIBS 2014 has benefited from a new upgraded exhibition centre and is expected to welcome more than 15,000 visitors over the next few days. With a fantastic display of motor yachts, sailing yachts and marine accessories and exhibitors that include some of the world’s leading yacht builders and brokers, the show has successfully established itself as an important fixture on the yachting calendar.
Covering more than 15,000 sqm of water and 10,000 sqm of outdoor space, QIBS will this year host around 60 yachts on the water. Although the superyacht market in the Middle East has long been one of the most significant in the industry, the addition of this new event is in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2013 to position the region as a world class hub for business, leisure, culture, education and sport.
The show will conclude on the 15th November 2014, for further details contact your preferred yacht charter broker.
