FLIBS 2026: Fort Lauderdale Opens The Doors On 67th Edition

By Katie Scott   28 October 2026

The 67th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) kicks off today, and even with Mother Nature and a king tide trying their hardest to stop the event from going ahead, there's plenty of luxury yachts around the pontoons and some exciting new changes to the layout.

Launching today with its Prime Preview and running until 1 November, FLIBS 2026 expects a footfall of over 100,000 throughout the duration of the show, and with 1,000 curated brands lining the docks and exhibition areas, anticipation builds as the first visitors filter through the gates.

As the show that is dubbed the largest in-water boat show in the world, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show sets high expectations every year, and 2026 is ready to deliver.

Let's take a closer look at this year's offerings in Florida.

FLIBS 2026 In Numbers

Before we head to the docks, how does FLIBS look in numbers?

The total attending fleet of superyachts stands at 217, including 62 luxury yacht charters in the mix, with 18 of them making their show or regional debuts. Size-wise, this year's fleet of charters has an average length of 37.22m and an average age of 15.06 years.

Holding these figures up against last year's numbers, the 2025 edition of FLIBS hosted a collection of 170 superyachts in total, with 60 charter yachts that boasted an average length of 39.72m and an average age of 15.53 years.

The percentage of charter yachts within the total fleet has decreased since 2025; however, the numbers in their own status are largely on par, bar small margins.

New for 2026

The saying goes that size isn't everything, and FLIBS is proving that point this year.

For those who have been to the event before, there is an immediate, noticeable difference in the show layout for 2026, with six locations rather than seven.

Dropping the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina/17th Street Basin from the lineup, the yachts historically displayed there have been reallocated across the remaining six locations, ensuring the breadth of niches still exists, albeit in fewer venues.

With the numbers indicating that the attending fleet of USA yacht charters is largely on par with last year, and it's seven venues, visitors to FLIBS can still expect a great range of the latest yachts.

Aside from the smaller choice of marinas, what else is new for 2026?

Causing quite a stir since it was announced back in the summer, a floating pickleball court at Las Olas Marina is on the hottest features list and is scheduled to host a tournament exclusively for yacht crew. Surrounded by a broad range of brokerage yachts, Las Olas Marina is the place to be if you've never tried the sport or are game to get involved.

Taking the show to new heights, a new transportation service has been added to FLIBS, in the form of a helicopter. Offering a shuttle service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE), visitors can be escorted straight to a temporary on-site helicopter landing platform at Pier Sixty-Six, or take to the skies for a special 10-minute tour around the showground for a whole different view of the superyachts and motor yacht charters on display.

Updates to the show layout of FLIBS continue with the relocation of the Cabana Club. As one of two VIP lounges attached to the Windward VIP Experience, this year the 'cabana-style retreat' has been moved to Bahia Mar Marina, while the Windward VIP Lounge remains in place within the Superyacht Village.

According to organizers, these lounges will feature celebrity chefs, including Chef Ryan O'Sullivan of Hell's Kitchen and Chef Dave White of Below Deck.

Superyachts and charters worth seeing

On to the pontoons, and despite the king tide, there's a wealth of yachts and charter yachts to see. The largest attending superyacht for 2026 is not a charter, but she used to be.

Making headlines across the industry with her staggering transformative refit and her appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, 300.2ft (91.5m) superyacht DRAAK successfully made the transatlantic crossing in time and makes her show debut at this year's event.

Previously known as TRANQUILITY in her charter days, this staggering Oceanco masterpiece is now the support vessel for LEVIATHAN, both owned by Oceanco's majority owner, Gabe Newell.

On the charter side of things, this year's largest superyacht rental takes the shape of 197ft (60.05m) charter yacht ROCK.IT. Last refitted in 2024, she is packed with premium amenities and certainly knows how to deliver an exceptional charter experience.

Brimming with beautiful, timeless interiors penned by Sinot Yacht Design, this Feadship yacht hosts expansive exteriors with multiple open-air lounges and dining options, plus luxurious cabins for up to 11 guests, and a rather impressive toy box.

Charter yacht SCINTILLA MARIS is also on location and offering an all-round, unique view of how yachts can be completely repurposed. Reformatted on a large scale like DRAAK, there's an interesting background behind this expedition yacht charter, which is definitely worth a look if you like something truly out of the ordinary.

Other notable charter yachts around the pontoons include:

190.11ft (58.2m) superyacht charter CARPE DIEM at the Superyacht Village

160ft (48.77m) charter yacht NO BAD IDEAS at Hall of Fame Marina

145ft (44.2m) yacht rental HEEUS at Hall of Fame Marina

133ft (40.54m) luxury yacht charter ALPHA WAVES at Pier Sixty-Six
