Foil Application on Windows of Charter Yacht ‘Lauren L’ Completed

By Editorial Team   10 November 2014

To ensure greater privacy and heat control while cruising, the impressive 90m/295ft luxury charter yacht ‘Lauren L’ has been fitted with foil application on 12 of her windows.

The work was recently completed by Wild Group International (WGI) after some issues were reported with Lauren L’s air-conditioning, taking just six days finish in between charters in the beautiful charter destination of Sardinia. In order to alleviate the heat-control problem on board as well as create increased privacy for the Owner’s and charter guests, a mirror effect was applied to the inside of each of her windows.

Superyacht design and technology is continually evolving, from the latest watertoys and facilities that surpass any land based luxury resort, right down to the finest details in a bid to produce superyachts of the highest calibre. The technology that WGI used for Lauren L’s windows is based on research originally related to aerospace and military use. The films used by the specialist team are world’s first wavelength selective window coating that provides a virtually transparent protective barrier against the sun's heat and radiation.

Built in 2002 by Cassens-Werft, ‘Lauren L’ was previously used a 100-passenger cruise vessel before being converted into a luxury charter yacht. Her expansive size and huge selection of amenities have made her popular for both charter vacations in spectacular destinations as well as corporate charters.  Offering the ultimate in relaxation, facilities on board include a lido bar, conference room, library and a fully-equipped health spa featuring Jacuzzi, sauna, massage room and beauty room.

She is available for Caribbean yacht charters from December onwards at weekly rates starting from €695,000 per week plus expenses, contact your charter broker for more details.
