By Katia Damborsky   12 February 2020

With thousands of attendees and hundreds of yachts on display, we take a look behind the numbers to bring you key information and a run-down of all the top yachts to see at the Miami Yacht Show 2020.

Once again, the Miami Yacht Show will be welcoming an impressive fleet of yachts to downtown Miami when the show opens its doors tomorrow.

Running between 13 - 17 February 2020, the show will be held in conjunction with Superyacht Miami between Biscayne Bay and Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island.

A total of 118 superyachts (yachts measuring over 78ft) have confirmed their attendance at the show so far, with 80 debuting yachts and an average length of 109ft (or 33.4m).

Key statistics

This year represents one of the youngest fleets in the show’s history, with the average age of attending superyachts coming in at 8.8 years. This is a huge difference when compared to the figures from 2019 and 2018, when the average age was well over 11.

This is great news for those in the market to buy or charter a new yacht at the show, with plenty of young and recently delivered boats on display for attendees to peruse.

There are plenty of young and recently delivered boats on display for attendees to peruse, making this a great show for those in the market to buy or charter a new yacht.

There’s a total of 91 superyachts for sale set to attend the show so far, with the average price coming in at $8 million. This figure beats all previous editions of the show except 2017, when the average price was $9.2 million.

If you’re looking for your next charter yacht at the show, you’re in luck; there are a total of 36 luxury yachts for charter at the show, with an average length of 128ft (38.6m) and the average age of 9.8 years.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the must-see charter yachts on display at the show.

BOLD

Delivered last year by SilverYachts, the 279ft (85m) superyacht BOLD will be drawing in plenty of attention on the docks in Miami. If you get the chance to tour her, be sure to check out her innovative winter garden/loft area in the main salon, which is fitted with glass partitions that slide out of the way to connect the interior to the decks.

A true explorer yacht, one of her most striking features is the aft helideck. The forward area of this space has the unique capacity to function as a nightclub, allowing for the ultimate entertainment experience while chartering.

‘Quantum of Solace’

Built in 2012 by Turquoise, the 238ft (73m) motor yacht ‘Quantum of Solace’ is making her US boat show debut in Miami. The yacht sports exterior and interior styling from H2 Yacht Design, and has a range of stand-out features including a double-height atrium and Asian-inspired spa with a steam room and spa pool.  Her main salon is particularly show-stopping, with a gold sculptured chandelier at the center of the space. Similar themes continue in the formal dining area and guest accommodation.

HOSPITALITY

An invariably popular charter platform, the 164ft (50m) luxury yacht HOSPITALITY from Westport is a great addition to the Miami Yacht Show line-up. Prospective charter clients and charter brokers can enjoy touring her and taking in her classically styled interiors and expansive exterior decks. As well as a large jacuzzi pool on the sundeck, she also enjoys a spacious foredeck sunpad area.

ALESSANDRA

The 157ft (48m) charter yacht ALESSANDRA will also be attending the boat show, showing off her elegant exteriors and Scott Carpenter interiors. While touring her, you’ll have the chance to admire her elegant Art Deco theme, with a navy and silver color palette and plenty of warm wood tones. She was delivered in 2004 by Trinity and was most recently refitted in 2018.

SOLO

The 236ft (72m) motor yacht SOLO has been impressing attendees at boat shows since her delivery in 2018 and she is set to be equally popular in Miami. Her refined, olive-grey exteriors are complemented by dramatic Francesco Paszkowski interiors, with bold black marble, champagne fabrics and geometric statues contributing to the wow-factor.

USHER

A well-appointed superyacht from Delta Marina, the 154ft (47m) motor yacht USHER features unique Polynesian interior styling which sets her apart from the crowds. Wood features heavily throughout, alongside bespoke artworks and intricate ocean-inspired motifs. Her exterior decks maximize the space for relaxing, and you’ll find numerous spots to lounge and unwind.

‘Bella Vita’

The 247ft (75m) motor yacht ‘Bella Vita’ is a 2009 launch from Lurssen, and she is making her Miami Yacht Show debut this year. Her blue hull will catch attention on the docks, and those who tour her will be able to admire her opulent interiors, with a grand piano in the main salon and a color palette of Royal blue and crisp cream.

‘Take 5’

Sleek styling meets contemporary interiors in 131ft (40m) charter yacht ‘Take 5’, a 2016 launch and 131 model from Sunseeker. You’ll want to explore the sundeck of this yacht- not only is it huge, but it’s also equipped with long rows of sofa seating, elegant coffee tables, a glass-topped bar, a jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads and a hanging nest chair.

W

Recently delivered by Westport, the 130ft (40m) superyacht W is a must-see at the boat show. She features warm and welcoming interiors that make the yacht feel like a home away from home, coupled with ample exterior areas for soaking up the sunshine. Shaded alfresco dining on the sundeck is one of the on-board highlights, while the foredeck offers a large seating area encased by glass bulwarks.

This year represents one of the youngest fleets in the show’s history, with the average age of attending superyachts coming in at 8.7 years.

The main show will be held at One Herald Plaza between the MacArthur and Venetian Causeways, having moved from its old address at Collins Avenue last year.

The move means the show is now located in close proximity to the Superyacht Miami element of the show, which takes place at Island Gardens Deep Harbor on Watson Island.

The standard opening times are as follows;
