Running from 4 to 10 December, the industry-only Antigua Charter Yacht Show will once again be showcasing some of the finest superyachts on the international charter market.
Below, we've taken a closer look at the five largest superyachts on the line-up, ahead of the show's opening in Antigua next month.
While not yet officially available for charter, the 77m/253ft motor yacht GO will be the fifth largest yacht on the line-up when she makes her Caribbean debut in Antigua next month. Launched by Turquoise earlier this year, she is sure to attract plenty of attention from show-attendees eager to step on board and tour her contemporary interiors.
Guests will no doubt be wowed by the waterfall feature feeding the jacuzzi on her sun deck and dazzled by the light-reflecting glass sculpture hanging in her central stairwell. Her living spaces are bathed in light, and crystal chandeliers further enhance the refined and welcoming ambience on-board. One of her particularly lavish touches is the back-lit onyx dining area on the upper deck aft.
Since her launch in 2011, the 78m/257ft superyacht AMARYLLIS has been a highly sought-after option for yacht charter vacations thanks to her extensive selection of luxurious amenities. Her elegant profile is sure to turn plenty of heads in Antigua, with her exquisite craftsmanship, crisp navy hull and contrasting cream superstructure distinguishing her as an Abeking & Rasmussen build.
On-board, she boasts a large spa pool with recessed lighting, dedicated massage facilities and plenty of expansive areas where guests can unwind and soak up their surrounds. Reymond Langton design are responsible for her classic and comfortable interiors, and have created an oasis of soothing tones and elegant accessories, such as a Schimmel piano and glass-clad elevator serving all floors.
Turning heads wherever she’s berthed, Oceanco’s multi-award-winning 81m/267ft luxury yacht 'Alfa Nero' is an iconic superyacht with an innovative design that makes her a must-see for anyone attending the Antigua Charter Yacht Show. The superyacht plays an excellent host while on yacht charter vacations, with a state-of-the-art party setup and an enormous master suite with a private portion of the foredeck and its own spa pool.
She is perfectly primed for entertaining, with a main deck that boasts an oversized infinity pool with the capacity to transform into a helipad. Here, there is also a well-appointed bar, sofa-style seating, relaxed dining area and plenty of sun loungers, ensuring the entire charter party can be accommodated in a jovial and enlivened setting. Additionally, the superyacht is home to dedicated beauty and hairdressing facilities and a private retractable balcony for enjoying a moments’ peace.
In second place on the leaderboard is the 83m/271ft motor yacht O’MEGA which, launched in 2004, just misses out on a spot in the Top 100 Largest Superyachts in the world. She has the capacity to host 30 guests in total, and her massive volume is split across six decks, meaning she will be totally unmissable in Antigua. Guests choosing to her charter her will be spoilt for choice when it comes to communal areas to dine or unwind, with plenty of social spaces inside and out.
Among her standout features are a sumptuous home cinema, an expansive conference room, and a beach club with steps leading to the ocean, where O’MEGA’s treasure chest of water toys can be enjoyed to the full. The interiors of the motor yacht exude Venetian opulence, with polished woods and plush fabrics enhanced by gold and ivory tones, and glassy marble walls in the en-suites. Her reliable reputation has earnt her a wealth of experience as a charter yacht, and she is well established as one of the most in-demand on the market.
Measuring an impressive 90 metres, superyacht ‘Phoenix 2’ will be the largest yacht in terms of length at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show eclipsing O’MEGA, her nearest contender, by six metres. And even when her four-metre silver phoenix figurehead is taken into account, the iconic Lurssen build still takes pole position. Built by the renowned yard in 2010, she has been impressing all who set eyes on her ever since and her late arrival onto the show’s line-up was met with much excitement.
Show-goers will no doubt be drawn in by her incredibly graceful exterior lines before being wowed by her understated Art Deco interior styling, both of which were headed up by Andrew Winch Design. There is then a seemingly endless list of facilities for charterers to enjoy, from a bridge deck gym, spa and hairdressing salon, a 7.5-metre sundeck pool and a cinema to the space to host 120 guests at glittering social events and an expansive two-level master suite with its own private terrace.
