Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendez-Vous kicks off today

Today marks the fourth edition of Thailand’s Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendevouz (KRSR) bringing with it international yachting brands, industry figures, and a fleet of impressive luxury charter yachts from the region.

Held in Phuket at the exclusive Kata Rocks resort, KRSR is an exclusive, invite-only event showcasing a variety of superyachts and welcoming guests for a phenomenal networking affair.

Taking place over three days, the event is designed to unite like-minded people from a curated guest list that features brokers, yacht owners, shipyard representatives, industry high rollers, VIP guests, as well as media personnel.

An exclusive networking opportunity

Attendees can expect bespoke activities and glamorous parties set in a stylish and sumptuous environment while rubbing shoulders with industry elites, allowing current and potential yacht owners the chance to meet with captains, managers, and builders while mixing and mingling.

KRSR 2019 is expected to showcase 23 vessels, with guaranteed appearances from the 50m / 165ft superyacht ‘Sapphire’ and the 33m/ 108ft crewed yacht NYMPHAEA.

The event will allow VIP attendees on board for a cruise around the local area, giving participants first-hand insight into the yachts' amenities and special features.

A jam-packed itinerary

The first day will see a welcome reception on board a catamaran, followed by a resort showcase including food masterclasses, experiential spa seminar, and yoga practice leading up to the evening. Attendees will also participate in a Thai rum tasting, prior to KRSR’s opening party which rounds off the opening day with live bands, DJs and a decadent meal.

Day two boasts a private beach barbeque, where yachts will depart early in the morning to rendezvous at an exclusive beach, giving guests the chance to mingle casually over cocktails and charcoal-grilled fish by the open water. Following this is the VIP-only Sunseeker Superyacht Owner’s Dinner held at Kata Rock’s Penthouse.

On the third morning, guests can expect a packed itinerary full of presentations, masterclasses, and seminars, as well as demonstrations and trials of various marine toys.

The afternoon will see a ‘yacht hop’ where guests will be invited to board some of the superyachts on show, followed by a superyacht line up where media officials and photography fanatics will get the opportunity to capture the motor yachts underway. A charity gala will end the day with a bang.
