Singapore Yacht Show 2018 attracts stellar line-up of exhibitors

By Rebecca Bradbury   4 April 2018

Anticipation is building for the eighth edition of the Singapore Yacht Show which, running from 12 to 15 April, will provide an unrivalled opportunity to discover some of the world’s best superyachts and luxury lifestyle brands at the One°15 Marina in Sentosa Cove, Singapore.

The globally-recognised, on-water display is the biggest event of its kind in the whole of Asia, bringing together the highest number of world-class yachts in the region. Epitomising luxury lifestyle, the Singapore Yacht Show is also renowned for its elite and highly social setting.

Already covering 50,000 square metres, the on-land exhibition will be expanded this year to host an ever-increasing number of brands in both the luxury and boating sectors, as companies recognise the show’s potential to attract thousands of visitors.

Among the top superyachts on display is a selection available for charter. The largest in attendance, however, are two private yachts for sale: the 55m/180ft superyacht ‘La Familia’ from Amels and the eye-catching 48m/156ft superyacht AQUAMARINA from ISA.

But, the 39m/129ft charter yacht ‘Lady Azul’ from Heesen is sure to be another must-see. Combining a timeless interior with chic Italian furnishings, exemplary outdoor living areas and a variety of modern amenities, she makes an excellent option for a private yacht charter.

Azimut’s 36m/166ft motor yacht ‘Hye Seas II’, a leading charter yacht based in Singapore, will also be on display. Expect spacious entertainment areas inside and out, which make her ideal for corporate and event charters as well as for extended cruising in the region.

Away from the yachts and world-class boat builders, such as Feadship and Lurssen, there will be the newly reimagined North Pavilion, which exclusively serves the needs of luxury and lifestyle brands. Prestige products range from supercars to art and high-end fashion.

There will also be a glittering social scene, with gala dinners, parties, wine and gin festivals, and art and fashion shows entertaining show-goers and exclusive visitors. Watersports demonstrations, sea trials and wellness workshops will also be available.

Before the show gets underway, there will be a two-day Asia Pacific Superyacht Conference attracting a high-quality audience of government representatives and leading industry professionals. The show also hosts the Asia Boating Awards on 11 April.
